Profile of Cedric Sama, Projects Funding Analyst.
Hello Cédric, first of all, could you describe your career?
After the baccalaureate, I first did a degree in Business Management and Administration, then a first Master’s degree in Territorial Management and Local Development. Interested in Project Finance and wishing to learn more (having had an insight during my various internships), I continued my studies by doing a second Master in Project Finance and Structured Finance.
During my university studies, I had the opportunity to carry out very rewarding internships in organisations such as UNICEF, Suez Consulting, the International Organisation of the Francophonie. Amarenco then gave me my chance for a first job after my final internship.
Could you describe your position, your assignments at Amarenco?
Today, as a Project Finance Analyst, my role is (i) to support the development teams in enhancing the value of projects by preparing and updating financial models, (ii) to lead the structuring of financing, by contributing, among other things, to the selection of advice (legal, financial, technical, etc.), to the negotiation of financing documentation, etc., and finally (iii) to manage on a daily basis our commitments to partners within the framework of existing financing.
Why did you choose to work at Amarenco?
Amarenco is a young and dynamic company that is rapidly evolving in its sector. In addition to its values, it is also a company with a lot of ambition. For all these reasons I chose to stay at the end of my internship to take part in this adventure.
Little lighter touch: what are your passions in life?
My great passion is travelling. I love discovering new cultures and new ways of seeing the world. In these uncertain times I fortunately have my second passion which is reading.
