Hello Elsa, first of all, could you describe your career?
I studied sciences in high school with the intention to follow health (most of my family it’s from health sciences and the other part is in the law business) but when choosing university I decided to follow engineering.
I studied Industrial Engineering and I did my internship in a company of the automotive sector and stayed for 3 years after finishing the internship. After, I moved to a company dedicated to metallic construction where I was responsible for the management systems of the company and company certification. After some months of being there, the company starts a branch dedicated to the renewable energy sector and from that moment my path started in the renewable energy sector continuing until the present day.
During these years I had the opportunity to develop my skills in the renewable energy sector mainly in business development, mergers, acquisitions and project finance complementing with post graduations in management systems , risk assessment and project finance.
Could you describe your position, your assignments at Amarenco?
Well , in a very short version I’m responsible for the P&L of Iberia. I have to design and build a business plan for Iberia aligned with the corporate objectives, mission and values of Amarenco Group, plan and execute project development such as greenfield, partnerships, acquisitions and lead it until completion maintaining relationships with stakeholders and industry of the sector
Why did you choose to work at Amarenco?
I met Amarenco a few years ago through a former colleague that joined Amarenco few years ago. I have been following the company through him, and watching the motivation and enthusiasm with which he talked about the company. When the invitation came, along with the professional challenge, it was not difficult to accept and come !
Little lighter touch: what are your passions in life?
Family and cooking ! I really love to gather family and organize family lunch’s, brunch’s and dinners with me doing the cooking. I also like to travel and visit new cities, people and culture and to all new place I go I have to experiment local and typical food.
